It felt weird the first time, but after that it felt like we had our own little home. The hotel had a locked door that you must enter, along with another locked door to enter the hotel. This is a cute hotel located right down the street from the main plaza. Highly recommended place to stay for a trip to Cusco!… When the art gallery / store is closed, you have to ring the buzzer to the left of the door and someone from the hotel will come down and let you in. The first day was rough because we were exhausted from climbing Wayana Picchu that morning, but the rest of our stay the stairs weren't too bad. The hotel is located above an art gallery / store, so you have to hike up some stairs. We were able to leave our luggage behind after we checked out, since we didn't have to go to the airport until later that afternoon. The floors in the room could get a little slippery, so be careful about that. The hot water would briefly cut out about 2-3 times per shower, but it wasn't too terrible. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was a decent size. The room smelled a little musty when we first checked in, but I didn't notice it after the first night (maybe we got used to it). Great location, about a block away from Plaza de Armas.
